The Yaletown Business Improvement Association is proud to announce the 16th annual Taste of Yaletown, an annual community-based event that invites the public to try a variety of dishes from premier restaurants throughout the neighbourhood. From October 16 – 26, 2020, restaurants will offer diners the choice of special menus at set prices of $25, $35, $45 and $55, with a focus on take-out options and the Open With Care initiative for safe dining.

This year, Taste of Yaletown is encouraging people to follow COVID-friendly practices and take their meals to-go by providing incentives to customers when they order TOY take-out. For every TOY take-out order made, the guest will receive a gift card of $5 as appreciation for supporting local businesses.

In addition to this year’s take-out focus, TOY’s mission is to help those in need by donating to the Greater Vancouver Food Bank. TOY recognizes the challenges that this year has brought and aims to provide an opportunity for everyone to take part in helping others in their community. For every TOY special menu ordered (either dine-in or take-out), $1 will be donated to the Greater Vancouver Food Bank.

As Yaletown continues to safely reopen as a premier destination for dining in Vancouver, many of its long-standing establishments will once again be participating in the annual food festival. Among the restaurants are new participants CAPO and Do Chay, who will be offering specially curated and take-out friendly menus for the event.

Taste of Yaletown provides the perfect opportunity to support local Vancouver dining staples in a safe and COVID-friendly manner, while also supporting Vancouver’s local food bank and those that rely on its services.

“This year has been a tough year for everyone, and we wanted to continue Taste of Yaletown as a means to not only support this long-standing neighbourhood of local businesses, but also support the people within our community,” states Annette O’Shea, Executive Director of the Yaletown Business Improvement Association. “Our focus this year is to give back and allow people to safely support their community, as we continue to navigate these unprecedented times.”

The Yaletown Business Improvement Association is dedicated to supporting business in the neighbourhood and also committed to giving back to the community. Taste of Yaletown has now raised more than $115,000 in efforts to support the local community since the event began in 2004.
