The COVID-19 pandemic is rapidly unfolding with decisions about precautionary measures to help flatten the curve being announced daily. These are unprecedented and trying times, especially for the small business community; and B.C. wineries are no exception. Spring is a busy time in viticulture and with preview events being forced to cancel or postpone, bars, restaurants and even tasting rooms shutting down indefinitely, local wineries are finding creative ways to make sure that they are able to keep you well supplied!
From curbside handoffs to the added incentive of free toilet paper (for real!), we’ve complied an ever evolving list of B.C. wineries that are adjusting to the current climate and ensuring that you can enjoy a glass of VQA from the comfort of your own home. Alone, of course, because, you know…

Blue Mountain Winery has delayed the opening of their tasting room. Shop online and get free shipping with code 2020THANKYOU at checkout.
Bordertown Estate Winery is offering free shipping (no code required) on all purchases of 6 bottles or more.
Burrowing Owl Estate Winery‘s tasting room is open for bottle sales only. The Sonora Room is serving lunch and dinner to go only from 12pm to 6pm, Thursday to Sunday. Place your order in advance (menu here) and it will be ready for pickup in about 20 minutes.
CC Jentsch Cellars is open for bottle sales only, and the store is limiting entry to one customer at a time. Free shipping with the purchase of 12 bottles.
Cedar Creek Estate Winery has suspended service at Home Block Restaurant and is currently looking into takeout options. They are also offering free shipping on every online order (no code required). Alternatively, you can pick up at the winery and have your order loaded into your car by their staff.
Chaberton Winery is still open and practicing social distancing by limiting the number of people in the wine shop and spacing out tables in the Bacchus Bistro.

Roche Wines is still open and offering tastings to small groups with increased sanitary protocols and is offering free deliveries to locals, free shipping over 6 bottles in BC as well as a curbside pick up service.
Rust Wine Co is ceasing all onsite operations for foreseeable future. Online sales will remain active with free shipping on all orders. In addition, they’re donating $5 a bottle for every magnum of their delicious 2019 Gamay Noir—or $30 for a six-pack—to the BCHF, up to $5,000.

Vanessa Vineyard is offering free shipping on purchases of 12 bottles or more. More importantly, they have committed to donating 100 meals towards the Meals on Wheels Program at the Lower Similkameen Community Services Society, which delivers food to seniors’ doors every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. In addition to that, for every 6 bottles purchased they will donate an additional 2 meals in support of their neighbours, with a goal of donating 200 meals in the next 90 days.

Many private liquor stores, such as Coal Harbour Liquor Store, Legacy Liquor Store in Vancouver, and Cascadia Liquor Store in Victoria remain open at this time and offer delivery and pick up services.
